After two years of cancellations, the capital of Sauerkraut, Krautergersheim, celebrates its specialty again : It’s Sauerkraut Festival. And that's almost 50 years it lasts !
On site ; sauerkraut meal (or pâté en croute) was prepared by 5 chefs from the region.
The day after, on Sunday 25 September from 10 a.m., the village has transformed into a real market with nearly 70 local exhibitors.
There were craft exhibitions there, Cabbage cutting demonstrations, a seasonal market, musical entertainment.
At 3 p.m. the grand procession began with numerous folk groups, local brass bands or even cabbage-themed floats!
